ginger bread house

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love the holidays and all the traditional things that it brings. Cookie bakes, ornament swaps, Christmas cards from long lost friends, and ginger bread house making. I love to do it all! My best friend, April,  and her family came over to make ginger bread houses. If you thought it was for the kids than you were wrong! REALLY WRONG! I will ease your soul by saying that was the intention. Doing it for the kids. But that quickly changed when...well...the box opened. Well. April was much better about including the little darlings than I was, but they were preoccupied with eating the candy anyways. We all had lots of fun! And here I thought my house was "the best on the block" until Rowan begged-to-differ by complaining that it wasn't as fun and "marsh-mellowed" as April's house. I guess it just goes to show beauty is in the eye of the beholder! It was just fun to spend time together and besides Christmas is about being with the ones you love! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
