the time we went on a date

...

andy had the last few days off and we were thrilled to sneak a date in very last minute. we had been at the pool all day and my mom offered to take the boys overnight. we were thrilled! but it left little time for getting ready. being the girly, romantic i am, i begged andy to let me make it a proper date and really do my make up. he obliged, as long as he didn't have to change... as usual that made me a tad overdressed in comparison. not to worry, i happen to love being overdressed! i just do ok. but let me tell you i felt like i was wearing a LOT of clothes in comparison to other girls my age once we were out and about. i can't believe they can move in those little dresses! in fact, i feel sorry for those girls, what if they drop their parking ticket and have to try and bend over and retrieve it. oh my! is it just me? i may be old fashion at times, but for some reason i do not find wearing a "bondage" dress that is 3 sized too small very sexy. i think you can look absolutely striking and be wearing actual clothes! that cover you butt! and bra!! but i am a mom so perhaps that is why i am fairly modest.

anyways, we had a wonderful night. andy was a true gentleman. he even sent my food back (to my complete embarrassment) when i didn't like it. he wanted me to be taken care of that night. it was wonderful!!! but we both agreed as much as we needed alone time, we do love the chaos and joy that comes with raising two wild little ones. but i am not at all opposed to sending them off to nana's again the next time she offers.

I LOVE YOUR OUTFIT!! Oh my goodness so beautiful! So glad you were able to get out and spend some alone time together. My husband and I are the same way, I always overdress and he underdresses. As far as the tiny clothed women, I hear ya! I would be so uncomfortable about a body part sneaking out! Ha

Just found your blog and I am completely in love with your dress!! I can't even tell you! I must agree as well... I don't know if I will ever understand how girls can feel comfortable even moving in clothing that barely covers them! You're adorable by the way... I'm excited to find you this morning!

You look gorgeous! And, I totally agree! We were at a family reunion last week and a cousin whom I've never met had on pants three sizes too small and the waist line showed things no one should ever be subject too :( I felt bad for her because she was for sure she looked awesome :(
